The forest spans 33 km², but guided tours focus on a compact area around the caves, covering roughly 5 km.
Standard cave and forest walks are limited to 20 people per group. The Kiwengwa Challenge is limited to 10 people.
The main cave trails feature steps and uneven terrain, so they aren't wheelchair friendly. However, Café Kivuli and our medicinal gardens offer full wheelchair access.
Wildlife roams freely across 33 km², so sightings aren't 100% guaranteed — but monkeys, elephant shrews, birds and butterflies are frequently seen right around the caves and reception. Photographers warmly welcome.
